LAVIN COMPILATIONS

LAVIN-bigtimessmalltown.jpg Big Times In A Small Town - Christine Lavin
$15.00
I wondered what would happen if you put a bunch of singer/songwriters on an island together for a few weeks... so, I rented a Bed & Breakfast on one of the prettiest places on Earth, called up musicians -- some I knew well, some I always wanted to meet -- and said "Come on over. Bring your guitar. What you have here are just some of the musical highlights of what we came to call "The First Annual Martha's Vineyard Singer/Songwriters' Retreat." -Christine Lavin

LAVIN-laugh2.jpg Christine Lavin Presents: Laugh Tracks Vol 2
$15.00
In the summer of 1996, Christine invited some of the wittiest singer / songwriters around to take part in two nights of humor at The Bottom Line in New York City. The result was so many wonderful musical moments that they all wouldn't fit on one disk.

LAVIN-stealth150x130.jpg Christine Lavin Presents: The Stealth Project: musicundertheradar
$15.00
The Stealth Project is the seventh compilation I have put together in my ongoing effort to introduce fans of my music to the music that I love, and that I think they will love too.  Several of the participants on this disc are artists I have been talking up for years, and using their music as pre-concert and intermission music at my shows.  Many, many people have asked, 'Who is that?' and I'm happy to now share these and other fine singer/songwriters with you.  -- Christine Lavin

LAVIN-follow.jpg Follow That Road - Christine Lavin
$20.00
A two CD set
In September 1993, singer / songwriters from near and far gathered for a three-week retreat on the island of Martha's Vineyard to rest, recuperate from the road, and write. Every Friday and Saturday night, informal concerts at The Wintertide Coffeehouse in Vineyard Haven were taped, as well as spontaneous musical creations that materialized during the week. In all, close to 300 songs were recorded, and it was so difficult choosing which ones to include in an album that we talked Rounder Records into making this project a double album. It was still difficult making the choices, but I think what we have here is a terrific representation of what went on during the retreat. -Christine Lavin

LAVIN-october.jpg When October Goes - Christine Lavin

OK, it is sad when summer ends, the air cools down, and the days grow shorter. But that's all right because it brings on autumn, the most beautiful season of all. Over the years, autumn has inspired so many wonderful songs that I thought, "Why not put them together in one place?" Here are 15 songs by contemporary singer/songwriters just perfect for this changing season. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
